Petit Gauke Island

Petit Gauke at 30 acres is located in the beautiful marshes of coastal Georgia, with excellent climate, sea breezes, adjacent to Intracoastal Waterway, near Skidaway Island, high ground and beautiful tree cover.

There is currently a dock, a floating dock and a deep well on the island and it is zoned for 4 lots.

The land was granted by Sir James Wright, governor of the colony of Georgia, in the name of King George III to Philip Delegal on May 1, 1764. He was an army officer under Oglethorpe. However, at the end of the revolutionary war, the patriot government confiscated the islands and they were sold at public sale to William Steadman and then to Joseph Stiles. The island was sold out of the Stiles estate in 1925 to Livingston McLaws.
