Morgan’s Caye is one of the most unique islands in the Caribbean Sea. It has its own private lake in the very middle, with a secret entrance! This pretty island is surrounded by crystal clear turquoise water teeming with all sorts of colorful tropical fishes. The fishing here is favorable among professional sportsmen. The water is calm and clear. The coral reef makes for an excellent diving and snorkeling. The lake is hidden from view to the naked eye, but has a nice size inlet on one side and an outlet on another side. The island has a deep water port to the north and a shallow white sandy beach part to the northwest. There are several natural bay areas that, with minimal work, could create several additional white sandy beaches.

It is within the calm coral reef area, and it is just fifteen minutes from the Belmopan,capital of Belize. There are several major tourist interests and developments in the area. To the north, there is State Bank Caye, where several tourist ships can be seen berthed. There is a multi-million dollar project planned for State Bank Caye. Norwegian Cruise Lines (NCL) just completed a $ 100 million dollar project on a nearby island and, about ten miles north, Actor Leonardo Di Caprio is breaking ground on townhouses on his island that will cost $ 20 million a piece.
