The Property
The main cabin features a hand‑hewn log home motif with hand‑hewn wood floors and exposed post‑and‑beam construction. A two‑story stone fireplace was built using stones collected from the island. The cabin includes two guest rooms and a loft with two single beds.
A large enclosed breezeway, also constructed with post‑and‑beam methods, provides gathering and dining space with views through large windows and glass doors. The breezeway connects to a boathouse that includes a workshop and a master‑suite loft. A separate storage building serves as a wood shed and small wood shop with a table saw and millwork storage.
The island is powered by a diesel generator and is wired for solar and battery use for most needs and lighting. Propane supports the stove and refrigerator.
The Land and Water
The island’s shoreline includes granite Canadian Shield outcrops, rocky sections, a pebble beach, and a naturally occurring sandy beach. Its shape creates a protected mini‑harbor with two boat docks, each equipped with a boat lift. The landscape includes large coniferous and evergreen trees, a maintained walking trail encircling the island, and a cleared grassy center that has supported a large garden. Views extend across the lake toward the Manitou Islands and North Bay.

Access and Utilities
Mainland access is included through a waterfront property shared by four island owners. The group jointly purchased a lot in a protected cove, where this owner constructed a four‑bay boathouse with four docks. Owners have indoor and outdoor parking and space for summer and winter boat storage. Each boathouse bay includes a private loft for dry storage.
